During our family vacation to London, the Hilton London Metropole was our choice this time. We waited in line to check in and checked out very quickly. However, despite booking through Hilton's website, selecting a room (checking in), we were given a different room.
The top three floors on the west side of the hotel have been recently renovated. Therefore, for those seeking a newly redesigned room, I recommend choosing the "Premium Room" type. Best part of the room was the view and the quietness. If you look at it from the right angle, you can see the London Eye and the Shard. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was modern, and the sanitary ware was new and of high-quality brands.
The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. However, despite requesting a change of linens for three consecutive days, they were told they would be changed, but they weren't. Furthermore, the elevators desperately need renovating. The elevators are incompatible with Hilton-quality.
As you can see from the pictures, the breakfast was truly excellent. They are diverse, high-quality, and satisfying.
The hotel is very close to Edgware tube stations, which serve Bakerloo, Hammersmith & City, Circle, and District Lines. It's about a three-minute walk. Paddington tube and railway station is also a 10-minute walk away. You'll only need maximum two transfers to any major destinations. This is a real advantage in London. You can also grab food from the M&S Food Hall opposite the hotel and enjoy it in your room.
